1. Differences between SEO and PPC
Before delving into the specifics of this article and discussing how to rank on the front page of Google, you may find it interesting to understand what options are accessible to you and the main distinctions between them.
SEO is a good strategy to try to position your website on the front page of Google results. If you’ve never heard of SEO, it’s an acronym for Search Engine Optimization, and it refers to the collection of all a website’s optimization operations aimed at enhancing its position on search engines and, as a result, increasing its visibility.
Alternatively, you can rank high on the front page of Google by engaging in SEA (Search Engine Advertising), the activity of managing advertising campaigns for paid results (also known as adverts or sponsored results) on search engines. Making SEA on Google, in brief, is creating sponsored advertising campaigns with Google ADS (the previous Google AdWords).
If you’re wondering what the primary distinctions are between the two activities stated above, you should know that an SEO activity takes a long time to produce results (months, even years if you have authoritative competition), but it is long-lasting and steady over time. In comparison, SEA activity provides quick visibility but expires when the funded campaign is terminated.
2. Be on the front page of Google with SEO activity
As previously stated, if you want to optimize your website to boost its long-term exposure on the front page of Google, launching an SEO firm is the greatest answer for you. The latter can be used on both a new project and a website that has been in operation for some time.
3. Index the Website
The first step is getting your website on the front page of Google to index it. Normally, this is a fully automated process: the Google robot (dubbed Googlebot) regularly explores the Web for new websites and content to index.
It is useful to build an XML Sitemap, a file that contains all the URLs of the website to be provided, later, to Google through the Search Console, to allow the crawling of your site by the robot and, as a result, the indexing of the contents. In this regard, my guide on how to establish a sitemap may be of assistance.
If your material is not indexed as a result (you can check this using the site: sitename.com on Google), you can choose to “force” the indexing request. To do so, navigate to this page, input the URL and a brief description of your website in the URL and Comment areas, then click the Add URL button.
You should be aware that website reporting is not the same as indexing. As stated on the above-mentioned “Adding / Removing a URL” page, Google does not guarantee the inclusion of the URL reported in the index, nor can it provide indications about the time required for indexing of the suggested website.
4. Optimize the contents
Content optimization is a critical action for attempting to occupy the top 10 Google positions (those on the front page of Google). Many insiders believe that “content is king” (as credited to Bill Gates), referring to the quality of the content to command.
Having a high-performance, super-fast website with an amazing and easy-to-navigate structure is pointless if the site’s content is of low value. However, the converse is also true, which is why a good SEO activity necessitates working on multiple fronts.
However, how are contents optimized? The golden guideline that you must constantly remember is to write for users, not search engines. Consider the reader first, attempting to provide valid content that provides the best feasible answer while avoiding grammatical and syntax problems.
Forget about outdated tactics like keyword stuffing, which consists of repeating the exact term throughout the material. Enter your article’s keywords in the title, first paragraph of text, and, if possible, header tags, remembering to do it naturally and without force.
To facilitate the reading, subdivide the content into paragraphs composed of short and clear sentences (use simple words and easy to understand), use the so-called header tags (H1, H2, H3, etc.) and, when necessary, create bulleted lists or numbered lists. Do not create content of little value and do not write forcefully just to lengthen the content: try to go into the detail of the topic, taking advantage of related research and the autocomplete of Google (is the function that activates the instant you write the keyword on Google).
By following all of these guidelines, you will be able to provide quality material to your viewers, increasing your chances of ranking on the front page of Google. Keep in mind, however, that before beginning any SEO activity, it is vital to carefully investigate the sector of interest to determine what the keywords are and to verify their rivals.
You may do this using free tools like Uber Suggest or Google Trends (in which case, check out my post on how to utilize Google Trends) or with expensive products like SEO Zoom, an all-Italian package with numerous features. Not only can you examine your website, but you can also keep track of your competitors.
5. Other Useful Tips for – Front Page on Google for Your Business Website
In addition to the instructions I provided in the preceding paragraphs, you should be aware that there are several more activities you can perform to optimize your website to increase its ranking on the front page of Google.
Google considers over 200 parameters when determining which Web pages should appear in the top results of the SERP (search engine results page).
MBS lists to aid navigation and ensure that every page of your website is accessible with no more than three clicks from the homepage.
User experience: Make every effort to provide the best possible browsing experience for the user. To do this, create a hierarchical structure for your website (making content categories and subcategories), use breadcrumbs lists to aid navigation, and ensure that every single page of your website is approachable with no more than three clicks from the homepage.
Insert a link: Including links to in-depth articles or external resources increases the value of your pages. Do not be hesitant to provide links, both internal and external (but only to resources that are truly valuable and add value).
Use trustworthy tools: improving your site is critical. As a result, ensure that the programming code that forms your website is clear and error-free. For example, if you use WordPress and decide to employ themes and plugins, ensure they are created by competent developers and provide long-term support. If possible, avoid using free or commercial themes with excessively large code, which will certainly affect the loading performance of your pages.

6. Be on the front page of Google with Google ADS
If you are prepared to put your wallet on the front page of Google, then Google ADS is the solution for you. The well-known web tool allows you to construct advertising campaigns by choosing a budget and only paying for actual ad clicks.
To create a campaign with Google ADS, navigate to the service’s main page, click the Start Now button at the top right, sign in with your Google account, and indicate the goal of your campaign by selecting one of the
available options from receiving multiple calls, receiving multiple visits to your physical location, or increasing sales or registrations on the website.
Once you’ve decided, enter the necessary information in the fields for the activity’s business name and website and click the Next button, then specify the geographical area in which your company and clients are located and the category.
In the Your ad area, put the title and description of your ad in the Announcement #1 box, double-check the URL visible in the I clicks on your ad field, and then click the Next button. If you choose, you can now add an image or logo of your company to the ad you’re producing by pressing the Add button in the Images and Logos sections, and on the Set Your Budget screen, indicate how much you’re willing to pay on average every day for your campaign.
It’s important to understand that you’ll only be charged if users click on your ad, and that each click has a variable cost. However, your daily spending will not surpass your daily budget.
Now, double-check that all previously supplied data is correct before clicking the Next button. Finally, in the Configure billing section, enter your billing information, select your preferred payment method from a Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) or Bank account, enter the data in the appropriate fields, place a check next to the item I accept the terms and conditions, and click the Submit button to launch your first advertising campaign. However, by following the strategies indicated in this article, you may quickly climb to the front page of Google and improve your online traffic. Begin by creating keyword-rich content for your website. Then, employ link-building strategies to boost visibility and establish a strong online presence. Remember to utilize social media sites as well as local business listings. Finally, for best optimization, ensure that your site is routinely updated and maintained.
